VAIR started with a simple realization in 2023: pickleball player ratings were confusing and inconsistent. This made organizing level based play in clubs, tournaments and leagues difficult. When pickleball's popularity grew, the issue with ratings only seemed to get worse. We knew there had to be a better way to accurately assess skill levels and enhance the enjoyment of the game.
